THE WHAT
THE WHAT
King’s Flooring is a second-generation, family-run business known for its huge product selection and personalized service across Northwest Arkansas. While their in-store and mobile showrooms were thriving, their website didn’t reflect that same level of quality or professionalism. I was brought in to redesign their online presence from the ground up.
THE WHY
THE WHY
The previous website was outdated, hard to navigate, and almost impossible for the team to update themselves. King’s needed more than a visual refresh — they needed a flexible platform that would grow with them, better showcase their offerings, and make it easier for customers to explore products and get in touch.
THE HOW
THE HOW
The new site was built on WordPress with a fully custom layout and responsive design. I focused on making the site easy to navigate, easy to maintain, and flexible enough to support their wide product catalog.
A key part of the build was integrating their augmented reality floor visualizer — a third-party tool that allows users to upload a photo of their space and preview different flooring styles in real time. Embedding this tool cleanly, while also organizing thousands of flooring options across categories and devices, was a major UX and development challenge. I worked to balance clarity, performance, and usability so that both the AR tool and inventory listings could coexist without overwhelming the user.

The Result
The updated site gave King’s Flooring a much-needed digital upgrade.
Visit Website
It now supports both their mobile and in-store services, making it easy for customers to browse flooring options, request consultations, and use the AR visualizer to preview styles in their own home.
Internally, the King’s team can now manage their content without outside help — including promotions, product categories, and service updates. By combining a clear navigation system with a powerful visualization tool and a large, easy-to-maintain product library, the site gives customers a richer and more confident buying experience.
This project gave me the chance to tackle real-world integration challenges and design around large-scale inventory, visual complexity, and evolving client needs — and I’m proud of how functional and future-ready the final product turned out.
